Happy Catholic Schools Week!
In English, during the month of February, fifth grade students will be learning how to identify and use adjectives.
In social studies, fifth grade will begin learning about the events leading up to the Revolutionary War.
In science, grade 5 is wrapping up their study of cells and the human body systems.
Then we will study classification of animals and how vertebrates and invertebrates are classified.
In math, the fifth grade students are studying fractions. They are finding the greatest common factor (GCF) and the least common multiple (LCM). They are also comparing and ordering fractions.
In religion class, the students are continuing our study of the seven sacraments. We will discuss the season on Lent, which begins with Ash Wednesday, on February 10.
On Thursday, February 11, grade 5 students will celebrate Valentine's Day with candy grams.
